Manilla Public Relations started out
as a music magazine promoting new, up and coming music bands.
Building on the success of their magazine, the company began
managing the promotion of these new bands it was discovering. This
prompted a change in direction for the company.
Manilla Public Relations approached Web Ads Local with the brief
that they required a clean yet recognisable website that would
portray their new direction in the music industry. As an extra
requirement, the site would need to be e-commerce enabled to
accommodate their merchandise which was becoming a successful part
of their company.
Web Ads Local Solution
The initial site design went in many
directions, from musically themed to corporate, across a wide spectrum. Web
Ads Local worked closely with Manilla Public Relations to come up with a
design that was clean, inviting and up to date. A re-design of the Manilla
brand logo was also carried out to give a bold, eye-catching image.
The e-commerce enablement was successfully carried out using our proven
database system. Manilla were very happy with the ease of use the e-commerce
system offered.
Finally, Web Ads Local investigated domain names that were available to better
portray Manilla's new direction. Their previous domain ManillaMe.com had
served well whilst being a music magazine but a domain that reflected their
promotional work was required. Web Ads Local set up the domains ManillaPR.com
and ManillaPR.co.uk to add the finishing touches to their new site.
